Are you looking to build up practical experience while studying and get an insight into our children's rights organization? Then join us and use this opportunity to share your knowledge with us. We are involved in projects in over 30 countries worldwide to sustainably improve the living conditions of children and their families. Our employees work closely with our local partner organizations on the ground and support the implementation of the projects. Our aim is to give children a voice and support them in realizing their dreams. Are you ready to join us in making a difference?
As an intern, you will support four colleagues in our quality development team in their day-to-day work. You will actively support the impact and sustainability of our program and project work in order to enhance the realization of children's rights. In the first week, your orientation will take place at our office in Duisburg. After that, you will coordinate with your team whether the rest of your time will be spent in person, hybrid or remote. You can do your internship in part-time or full-time for ten to twelve weeks. If you have to complete a mandatory internship, a longer period is also possible. You will receive an allowance of EUR 250 per month (based on a full-time internship) as well as a travel allowance.
Your responsibilities
- You will support the drafting and review of documents, concepts and tools to improve the quality of our project and program work.
- You will accompany processes and help prepare visualizations and training materials to promote the impact orientation of our partner organizations and employees.
- You will support the preparation, implementation and documentation of training courses and events.
- You accompany cross-sectional evaluations and surveys.
- You will research topics and methods of impact orientation and related topics of project work such as children's rights in the context of the climate crisis, displacement and migration.
- You lend a hand where help is needed and support the team with daily to-dos.
About you
- You are currently a student with a development policy or international background.
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. A good knowledge of Spanish and/or German would be an added advantage.
- You have a good theoretical knowledge of project cycle management, impact orientation or capacity development.
- You enjoy working both independently and in a team and can handle several tasks at the same time. You are able to proactively approach the different stakeholders in your team.
